The Honeymooners - The Lost Episodes, Boxed Set 1 Review

The legion of true "honeymoon", the fans have no place for snobs. I am for the number of people who have no interest in the lost episodes from "I just love the Classic 39" syndrome ---- indicating that they lost sight amazed as somehow inferior, have too often without even! (Odd that Jackie Gleason actually watched lost, as is usually more fun than 39).
"Lost" cover 4 seasons before and after "39", are completely the same vintage and inspiration, with the same cast, writer, director, SETS, etc. as "39". The only difference is the length --- all are significantly longer or shorter --- but the level of basic physical comedy are the same!
While the show occasionally a bit 'more padding - so what? - It 'GLEASON / Carney / meadows in bloom! How can you not appreciate!? And let's be honest --- the quality of "39 is" more or less, "Please leave the premises" and "unconventional behavior" as the jumpunderstanding rather than sub-par performances.
And since when has the saga of "Driver" Bus Everyman struggling to earn an existence in a condominium in New York in 1950, require a perfect quality video to appreciate?
C'mon! Just be thankful that these shows were held in any format!
A few real "LOST" Highlights --- Buy with confidence!
VOL 1 - "Letter to the Boss" is well written and produced (plus you get to see the great character actorRobert Middleton as Mr. Marshall).
Vol am - During the four shows in this DVD 8 only average, "Ralph's Sweet Tooth" (full 36 minutes) is good as anything he had ever done. The scene with Ralph and Ed try TV script must be among the funniest scenes in the history of comedy.
VOL 12 - in 13 minutes, "Double Anniversary Party" is a perfect microcosm of the relationship between Ralph and Alice. It 'very funny and wonderfully touching, a real gem.
VOL18 --- "Stand-In For Murder" - A tour-de-force for Gleason at Kramden AND a dapper doppelganger Gangland Boss --- often within the same scene! Complicated times is simply amazing, with Carney, George Petrie, Les Damon and John Marley all performing like professionals were under the pressure of live TV. Unfortunately, going to end because the show was cut overtime!
VOL 21 --- "Stars Over Flatbush" Norton + Astrology = hilarity!
VOL 22 --- If you only buya DVD, it should be.
"Catch a Star" - V. Gleason, Carney and meadows play their characters on screen and in real life - all filmed LIVE!
"Battle of the Sexes" --- the last five seconds after this show contains, in my opinion, the funniest moment unique comic performance of Ralph. Not a great moment - there is very subtle and realistic.
would keep "Songwriters "---- This episode has the charisma and last show of the wholeSeries - would be a fitting conclusion of the saga have honeymoon with one of Ralph and Ed's mad schemes FINALLY paying off! It 's so sweet, so funny, so profoundly real. The interaction between the 4 principles during the last two minutes represents humanity at its best. (Plus the show contains a catchy novelty tune that you will be humming after a single point of view!)
So do not moan and complain; GET "LOST" Epsiodes and maintain the greatest comedian of all goods--- All the time!

A must have for any Jackie Gleason/Honeymooners Fan!! - Joe Ruck -
Although not as clear or crisp as the collection (so called) MAIN "39 episodes. It 's a small price to pay for these classic, rare episodes of The Honeymooners. Although change over time, and some episodes are more entertaining than others, only Gleason, Carney, Meadows and their work Randolph magical chemistry together, as always thouroghly pleasant. I highly recommend this collection to any fan of Jackie Gleason, The honeymoon or classic comedies that stand the test of time. Ienthusiasm to complete my collection soon.

The honeymoon is a classic and programs deserve 5 stars. Without a doubt. Prices lost episodes sets gets zero stars from me. The 39 episodes set box costs less than these rates and these rates are only a small part of the material on them. The studio is always very greedy and try us for every dollar milk can. I will continue to enjoy the original 39 episodes and waiting to get the price for the lost episodes.
